four winds

scrimshaw & snowfell
whalebone & morrow
driftwood & debris
grey clouds & sea

green ice & tombstone
needfire & sojourn
windswept & ruin
crack ice & hearth

hunger & marrow
antler & sparring
skull & succumb
four winds hollow

wildcraft my heart

wildcraft my heart
wrapped in briar and
agaric, scrape the
velvet from my winter bone

do you smell october's
imminent arrival?

shadowcræft my spirit
slip nightshade
my tea, oh! belladonna
kiss me, again, oh! please

tick tock the years
burstchest my song...

sticks
we must have sticks
we must have stone
we must have meat
we must have bone

tacit

i shed bone
on meagre forest
trails meandering

i am feather
onyx caught in
undergrowth & dream

flint & steel
i peel away my
red fur black & white

moving glacial
i am the old oak
shifting through the night

In this case, I’ll use a “Current situation / Obstacle / Advice” interpretation without any preface to the query, as I think these are self-evident areas.

Jump to the reading if you have already read my prelude rubbish.

It’s been a spell since I tossed down some cards for a tarot reading. Mid-September, in fact. After moving things around in my working space (writing, paying work, shallow thoughts masquerading as deep thoughts, etc.), my tarot deck came to the forefront of my new “writing on paper” space and I thought… hmmm, that seems like something I should do just so I don’t get rusty on looking at this kind of archetypal symbolism.
