stealing into night

i went a roving
dream questing visions
under the cloak
stealing into night

i saw
you standing there
broken corner windowgaze
finger twined in tress
wrapped in shadow was i
something you might miss

i thinned between brick
and angle of a store
to snare your
sad whisper of smile
before a return to
shadowwalking and
stealing into night

digging

time to delve
deep into
shadows & caves
slip into woods'
hallowed hollows

time to dig dirt
lift lichen stone
ride fierce winds
& drink of deep pools
dream harder alone

time to open dolmen doors
& to shift betwixt
eldritch planes
breathe outré
& write new songs
again

Some Kind of Stranger

Memories may last for years but
Names are just for souvenirs
Some kind of angel let me
Look into your eyes

Don’t give me whys and wherefores
Reason or surprise
I don’t care for words that don’t belong

And I don’t care what you’re called
Tell me later if at all
I can wait a long long time
Before I hear another love song

Come here I think you’re beautiful
My door is open wide
Some kind of stranger come inside
