I have often wondered if my “golden bough” approach towards understanding and personal gnosis was potentially a fool’s errand but, decades later, I believe it is starting to bear fruit. Not that I would go so far as to yell eureka at the top of mountains, but the commonalities are folding into place. Ideas that were elusive for me in the past now send sparks though my head, sending it bobbing away like that fool might nod. As I review some of what I’ve chased over the years, some sense is being made. The distractions are revealing themselves to me, are brushed away, and the root ideas bared.
I’ve considered writing about the details, but I find I have no words whenever I try. And that, my friends, is a sign that I probably shouldn’t try at all. The wise laugh at the futility of such things.
Root ideas. I don’t know.. for some reason, I actually pictured roots, and I like that.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Sometimes the complex truths we discover can’t be shared—they are ours alone.

I think it’s the Tao Teh Ching that has wisdom in that vein. I forget which verse (probably the first 🤣)
