identity: why does identity matter? and yet-- lines drawn in etherspace meatspace bound like mottled tangled ley blood on my fingers & leather lacing stays clouds over hinterlands whisper of lost hearth, bundled in masquerade suspicion... if i saw the northern sky's lights, i might tumble into forever
Great question, Michael. Should ‘identity’ matter – on certain levels perhaps not, after all we’re all animals trying to survive as best we can; but, in other terms, do we seek to exist if we have no identity in the eyes of others? And then again, without our own perceived identity is there anything to strive for.
That’s a whole can of worms you’ve opened there!
