    1. I think my goal with respect to social stuff to emulate a guy I admired that I met at a protest years ago. You knew what side he sat on, but he empathized with the other side. He was bamboo in their thunderstorm, always bending in the wind because he refused to argue and the counter-protesters wore themselves out trying to argue with someone who refused to argue.
