silver bangles incense
flowing (they call it
opium & i wonder)
resin boxes & coinbelts
dreams veils covering
veils oasis springs
street nomad flowing
down washington &
riverside writhing dirty
fingers grasping in
this marketplace seething

that i would have stayed

had i slowed & watched
i might have caught
your eye
