I’m playing around with ideas for travel in 2023, maybe do a little bonding with the eldest daughter (who will be 16 when I can maybe arrange this).
If you can’t see the poll below, follow this link to see in your favorite browser.
EDIT: Polling is closed. Thanks to those who gave me something to think about in your vote and/or comments.
I’m honestly curious. I want to get ideas before I propose to the daughter. If you have a better idea, I am all ears.
Iceland definitely has my vote, with a second being Scotland. But if I had ten votes, nine would go to Iceland 😉.

Part of me regrets the lack of agency I might have had when I was last in Scotland and that part wants to make up for it. There was so much I wanted to see that I was not allowed to see because of time and money constraints (as well as tasks I was given to see a friend get married).

So then you’d be attempting to relive/gain back what you first felt you missed out on.. which may or may not leave you feeling dissatisfied when the experience is unable to live up to prior expectations. It’s a hard decision!

LOL. Good point and yet… My experience was 95% whirlwind of the farmlands outside of the city. The 5% inside the city and at ruins was too short and left me craving more. Fields are great but…
