catching myself being preachy > again < time to return to silent paths

This series of writing explorations that I call mushin are an attempt to grasp the concept of mushin no shin (mind without mind, 無心の心, often shortened to mushin, or “no-mind”). I am using prompts from 365 Tao, largely because they are Zen and Tao themes for meditation (which suits this exploration), not as an endorsement for the book from which they are derived. The daily prompts can be found in this table. Anyone wishing to participate is welcome to do so, either post your own response to the prompt below or post a link to your response in the comments.
It’s a fine line we walk between imparting what we know and being seen as trying to derail someone else on their on journey. I walk that line frequently.

I’ve tried to move away from that mindset, realizing it is an inheritance that is not something I want to cling to. I need to quit and button up my mouth more often than I do.

Seems to me like it’s always the wrong ‘preachers’ that are heard. Perhaps it’s not your words that are wrong but thd way in which others interpret them.

There are things I should just avoid saying at all and, instead, start being a better example for myself.

Conversely some things, no matter how ‘awkward’ need to be said…
