I just re-pitched “Gloamfell” on Twitter, my failed 2020 attempt to write a story about mechs, alt-history Eastern Europe, werewolves, and the nature of magic in this alt-universe. Everything hinges on a mysterious girl in a long red scarf.
What the HELL am I thinking?
Mechs powered by mined rare fuel gives upstart country edge in war of independence from empire. Mining town hit by werewolves/madness, unknown cause = quotas down. A young girl in a red scarf seems to be the key. Protect the girl, kill the baddies, save the entire planet. #SFFPit
