painting livid ballads
red i hear shivers
peeling onionskin blue

owl glamours white
raven singing you
and bear, well, he
slumbers a myth of you

read my broken fingers
how do you say ?????
skip vinyl scratched
short severed sinew

& that,
that is silent too
