I’ve revised my interpretations of wunjo (ᚹ) based on additional reference material, inner reflection, and meditation. Rune poems and other writing referencing this rune moving forward will use the revised interpretations.
Additionally, wunjo completes the first of three aetts (families/clans) of runes, Freyr’s aett.
I’ve been relatively happy with how this reworking of Elder Futhark interpretations has been going, as I attempt to present them in a non-dualistic framework. While there are potentially “negative” interpretations included (and expect more with Hagal’s aett), I have endeavored to leave those readings to the person looking at these pages. Please let me know, as always if you find something amiss or missing in these pages (including something you’d like to see included). I have decided against prose interpretations and explanations, as too likely to reflect my own personal biases than to accurately reflect the various meanings for each rune. Other than that, I am interested in developing these tools further and can add information, if it will help someone else.
Once all runes have be reworked, I will migrate the old interpretations to the archive to maintain link integrity and for historical references.
If you wish to leave the equivalent of a “tip” and want to start your own collection of reference books on the runes, consider visiting the references page and purchasing one or more of the books listed there.
