Special note: As I contemplated these random runes today, it seemed to speak to me of the new beginnings many people seem to find in the passing from one year to the next. I don’t tend to make New Year’s resolutions, as I consider my personal alchemy to be in constant flux and a garden that needs to be weeded constantly. However, it seems as appropriate (perhaps more so) to extend my sincere wishes to everyone that the next year favors you in your lives, given and received, with the three items in the poem: patience, compassion and love. Almost everyone I know seems to need more of those things — so please pay it forward if you have enough to spare for the next person. There are many people who struggle to find enough in their lives. Go, with love.

thought & memory carry my galdrar aloft windwalking patience compassion & love spelled forth as the wheel spins anew
Note: For the purposes of these runepoems, I randomly select three runes and consider the meanings of each rune as I interpret and understand them based on a number of different resources, which may or may not be in alignment with accepted interpretations. I am a rune enthusiast, not an expert or scholar. These “runecasts” are not intended to be treated as divinatory, although there are elements of personal alchemy and shamanic practice in the crafting of each poem.
