is it madness to
merge with the wind,
to howl with the moon?
to cry alive the sky?

are threads woven
a flawed cloth song,
do these wefts break warp?
that thread spun
since time was born?

all you judges, beware:
for each stare
may draw stones cast
slow slung and drunken
back to the fist
from which they were borne
for blood washes blood
and clever cuts thrust
are cain-marked
blades in exchange

      • I meant to ask earlier in reference to music whether or not you had heard of The Twilight Sad? They are from Scotland, and the vocalist sings with quite a thick accent, but I think that you might like their music.

        • I’ll have to check it out. I’ve not run into them before.

If I can survive a week in the small villages outside Edinburgh, I’m hoping it won’t be to hard to decipher what he sings. If not, och weel.

          Loading them up now.

        • Easy enough for this yank to understand… Nice — reminiscent of someone that I can’t put my finger on right now. Like Joy Division mixed with someone like Gang of Four with a hint of Smiths or something. Not really, but it’s the only names that come to mind.

          • Yeah, I know what you mean. Quite different in my opinion and I like his choice of subject matter…plus the music is great. Not yet seen them but I’m hoping that they will tour a bit closer to where I live.
Edinburgh is a great city btw!
            Glad you enjoyed them.
