Lions always hit the heights
‘Cause to kill it’s always been an easy way out
Lions always hit the heights
‘Cause to kill it’s always been an easy way outAfter a couple of drinks I think straight
Tears of joy sort the little girl out
Something you always wantedAnd that curvy Lorraine always leads the way,
Admitting her love, it drips and drips
Something you always wanted
I’m in a Tones on Tail mood today.
Back in 1987, a few of us from my creative writing class performed Slender Fungus by Tones on Tail in front of a larger group of students to show the direction you could take performance of poetry. No instruments, all sounds made vocally. It blew everyone at the performance away — well, except those people who had decided that writing wasn’t really art and that performing written pieces on stage without proper lighting and scrims and music wasn’t anything artsy at all. Unfortunately, that was about half of the attendees tht didn’t want to be there anyway.
This doesn’t have the same performance element, but it suits my mood better.
