While I like the Fisherman’s Blues era, I’ve always been more partial to this and the preceding two albums that leveraged the “big” sound they were known for until Mike Scott reinvented the band as an Irish band. This was the first song I heard and I fell in love right away. The early years are some of Mike’s best lyric writing, in my opinion.
