burning ice eyes
stop-motion phantasmagoria
reliving silent horrors
of corpse flower times

jaw slung agape
recalling her ----
web tangled tantrum
screaming asylum
ensnared
as the spider's footsteps echo
   echo
      echo 
    down the hall
  coming
closer still
